Editiones Arnamagnæanæ Electronicæ, Menota and the Old Norse Ecosystem

Earlier this year an internordic editorial board for the digital series Editiones Arnamagnæanæ Electronicæ (EAE) was established. A number of editions of medieval, nordic manuscripts are scheduled to appear in the fourth coming years with texts in Old West as well as Old East Norse. In this paper I will present the new series, its raison d’être, and how it has developed from the initial thoughts several years ago. As indicated by the title, I will also focus on its future relation to – and interaction with – the Medieval Nordic Text Archive (Menota). Finally, I will discuss how Menota and EAE can play an important role in the Old Norse Ecosystem for young scholars interested in manuscript studies by providing different channels for the publication of digital editions.
