The linguistic journal Orð og tunga is now accepting submissions. Manuscripts should be delivered to the editor by September 1, 2020, for publication in the 2021 issue.
Orð og tunga is a peer-reviewed journal, published annually by The Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies. It contains articles in Icelandic, Scandinavian and English on language and linguistics, in particular on lexicology, lexicography, onomastics, terminology, and language policy and planning studies. The journal is peer reviewed. As a rule, authors will have received an answer about publication, or otherwise, at the beginning of November.
Authors are kindly requested to adhere to the journal guidelines (see ordogtunga.arnastofnun.is > Submissions). Note, that the journal has an open access policy. By delivering a manuscript for the upcoming issue, the author agrees that the paper will be published electronically as well as in printed version.
The forthcoming issue will focus on dialects and variation. We especially encourage speakers at the 11th Nordic Dialectologists Conference in August 2018 (Den 11 nordiska dialektologkonferensen, https://conference.hi.is/dialektolog2018/) to submit papers based on their conference presentations. As before, we also welcome papers on other topics that have to do with language and linguistics.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the editor.
