Work on a highly anticipated new Icelandic-Polish dictionary was boosted by the announcement on Icelandic Language Day that the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Labour Market has awarded the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies a grant totalling 15 million ISK. This funding will go to the creation of an Icelandic-Polish online dictionary based on the existing ISLEX online dictionaries. The new dictionary will be specially tailored to the needs of Polish-speaking students at all levels of the school system.
